The nations involved in World War 1.

Many nations were involved in the World War 1, many of these were due to it being a part of the various empires that were involved in the conflict. Arrayed on one side were The British Empire, The French Empire, and Russia with their allies. Later in the War, the U.S.A joined to fight on the side of the Allies. This alliance was originally known as the triple alliance. Arrayed against them were the Empires of Germany, Austria and Turkey although these Empires had relatively few colonies compared to those owned by the Alliance powers. This group was often known as the Central powers due to the placing of Austria and Germany within the European continent.
